Björn Bergmann
He took the audience by storm at the summer festival – now Björn Bergmann is returning to the Centre Bagatelle for a full evening’s performance. His sound: “Urban Swing” – a fusion of ballroom nostalgia and the nightlife of a club-goer, of grand gestures and quiet questions: is there still such a thing as romance in today’s big city? What remains the morning after Berghain?

No tie, a far cry from palace orchestras, but with a band that’s on fire and a sense of humour that defies gravity: Bergmann’s concerts are an invitation to let light-heartedness back in – and to counter the German tendency to dwell on things with a carefree “So what?”.
His voice has already been heard on Radio Eins (rbb), at the Arosa Jazz Days, at the Deutsches Theater in Munich and at the Frannz Club in Berlin. Anyone who thinks they’re not into swing should be happy to let this evening prove them wrong.
