Perception Workshop®

Perceiving an extraordinary place. Architect Karsten Feucht and artist Rainer Düvell invite visitors on an intuitive exploration. Surprising tools sharpen our perception of what we see, experience, and understand. What does it smell like? How does it feel? What surprises us?

This process opens up new perspectives on the former Nazi forced-labor camp. These perspectives serve as a starting point for conversations about personal connections, how we deal with history, and places of remembrance today.

Since 2006, the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor has been providing information about the history and scale of forced labor. It sheds light on the fates of the men, women, and children affected. The former barracks on the site are almost entirely preserved and are now open to the public as exhibition and event spaces.

The Perception Workshop is taking place to mark the 20th anniversary. Additional events will be held on September 27 as part of the anniversary program.
