At around 50 locations throughout the festival area, urban practice meets queer and post-migrant perspectives in group and solo exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, experimental city walks, and bike tours, concerts under trees, performances on rooftops, as well as community actions and interventions in urban spaces, on shutters, and in backyards—with contributions that reflect the cultural diversity of the city, its districts, and their residents—carried out by international artists as well as local participants.
The focus is on the participants themselves: their diverse artistic positions, cultural backgrounds, and experiences, which anchor the festival both internationally and locally.
The Berlin collective POLIGONAL is responsible for the concept and implementation of mowe – Festival for Art and Urban Culture (2025–27).
