Special exhibition at the information place heavy load body

As a result of the persecution, expulsion and murder under National Socialism, the Jewish communities were crushed. Their synagogues were largely destroyed or demolished at the end of the war.

In their photo project "Missing Synagogues", Martin Mühlhoff and Christian Vossiek document these voids in Berlin's urban space with 46 sober photographs.

Their photographs of new buildings, building entrances, backyards and parking lots show an overbuilt history and thus simultaneously illustrate the missing memory.
