Sharing the burden – sources of strength and limitations faced by relatives
When a loved one is living with a chronic mental health condition, family members bear an enormous, often invisible burden. Their own needs often take a back seat. This psychotherapy-led workshop offers a safe space for honest discussion. Together, we will explore your personal limits of resilience; you will identify new sources of strength and work out how to balance caring for others with sustainable self-care in everyday life. These insights are intended to help you realise that you are not alone in facing this challenge as a family member of someone with a chronic mental health condition.
The workshop is taking place as part of the nationwide Mental Health Week and is jointly organised by the Departments of Mental Health at Humboldt Hospital and Spandau Hospital.
No registration is required.
