Works by Mendelssohn, Hensel, Mozart, and Korngold

When Felix Mendelssohn published his Piano Quartet Op. 1 in 1823, the then 14-year-old had already written around 100 works. Along with his sister Fanny, he is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding musical talents in music history.

Elena Bashkirova is dedicating her third Mendelssohn Festival at the Pierre Boulez Hall to the young composer's astonishing early works.

Together with excellent chamber musicians, she will present works by two other musical prodigies: Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
