Grammy-nominated saxophonist Melissa Aldana was born in Santiago de Chile and grew up in a musical family. Both her father and grandfather were saxophonists and she began playing the instrument at the age of six under the tutelage of her father Marcos. She began performing in jazz clubs in Santiago as a teenager and was invited by pianist Danilo Pérez to play at the Panama Jazz Festival in 2005.



Aldana moved to the United States to attend the Berklee College of Music. The year after she graduated she released her first album, Free Fall, in 2010. The following year, at the age of 24, she became the first female instrumentalist and first South American musician to win the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. In 2022, the exceptional Brooklyn-based musician released her album "12 Stars," her debut on the legendary Blue Note label.


The go-getting Pablo Held has been musically active since his earliest youth, studying with Hubert Nuss and John Taylor at the Cologne Academy of Music. He and his musical partners Robert Landfermann and Jonas Burgwinkel soon came together to form the Pablo Held Trio, which has since been considered one of the most respected and musically interesting piano trios in the world today.

The trio has worked with John Scofield, Chris Potter, Dave Liebman, Jorge Rossy, among others, and has received numerous awards, including the WDR Jazz Prize and the SWR Jazz Prize. He has also been a lecturer in Osnabrück and now in Mainz and is a key figure in the Cologne jazz scene as a promoter, organizer and idea generator.Pablo Menares is originally from Santiago, Chile. Since moving to New York City in 2009, he has worked widely in both Jazz and Latin music with artists such as Camila Meza, Claudia Acuña, Sam Yahel, Brian Charette, George Burton, David Kikoski, Bob Moses and Greg Osby.


Kush Abadey has collaborated with many notable musicians including Ravi Coltrane, Chris Potter, Nicholas Payton, JD Allen, David Weiss, Andrew White, Gilad Hekselman, Azar Lawrence, Terrance Blanchard, Frank Lacy, Jeremy Pelt, Tomasz Stanko, Barry Harris, Gary Thomas and many more. At the age of 16 he became the youngest member of the Wallace Roney Quintet, with which he performed and recorded at various concerts, jazz festivals and club performances in many parts of the world.
