In its new programme, Maxi Gstettenbauer offers exactly what everyone is looking for: a good time. Because that seems as far away as never before.

The three K's of bad mood are lurking everywhere: wars, disease and climate change. In view of this trio of unease, one asks oneself: Is it really going on beyond the horizon?

Maxi Gstettenbauer was born in Schwarzach, Lower Bavaria and managed school on standby. If someone had told him that he was suffering from depression, he might have graduated from high school and would now be developing vaccines, but then we would have lost one of the most renowned stand-up comedians in Germany.

He's not a lyricist - he's a live performer, which has the advantage of not having to memorize as many lyrics. That doesn't make much sense with Maxi either, because if you know him, you know his programs breathe. A program could look completely different after four months. His reasoning: There is simply too much happening!

"Gute Zeit" is this special comedy cocktail that is rarely mixed in Germany. Absurd silliness paired with clever everyday observations, seasoned with one or the other social criticism and refined with reliable down-to-earth humor. Maxi's humor pops into the head from time to time, but lives more in the stomach.

He is a welcome guest on all comedy and cabaret shows and regularly welcomes the entire comedy scene to his own show, Comedy Central presents: StandUp 3000. His podcast "GUT ABGEHANGEN" with Alain Frei is one of the most successful comedy podcasts in Germany.
