The World Hits of Bert Kaempfert
He discovered the Beatles, celebrated worldwide number one hits, and composed for Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Al Martino, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Nat King Cole, among others. He has sold approximately 150 million records to date.
In 1993, he was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame (USA) as the first German. He made music history, as his "easy listening sound" and his compositions remain an integral part of the international music scene to this day: Bert Kaempfert.
Experience an evening with the Hamburg composer's greatest hits in their original sound and fantastic, contemporary reworkings.
In an elaborate stage production featuring strings, wind instruments, and a rhythm section, video projections, and plenty of entertainment, Marc Secara ("the singer who can fly with his voice" RBB) and his orchestra accomplish the feat of bringing this luxurious sound from the golden age of entertainment back to the stage for the first time in a touring program.
