How does a lion end up on the Museum Island, an owl in the antiquities collection and a beetle in the Egyptian Museum? In the collections on the Museum Island you will discover a wide variety of animal depictions. What stories do they have to tell?

Equipped with questions and suggestions, you will first visit a museum on your own. Afterwards you will have time in Haus Bastian to create your own animal creatures on large-format paper from your drawings, notes and ideas and let them tell stories - with collage material, pens and liquid colors. Inspiration comes from smells, magical powers and properties rolled into dice.

Participation fee including admission: €15 per family (2 people), €20 per family (3 people or more)

Limited number of participants. Online booking required. Remaining tickets are available at the cash desk in the James Simon Gallery. The family ticket entitles you to visit the museums on the Museum Island on the same day. You can get the admission ticket to the museums at the museum cash desks upon presentation of the participation ticket for the family workshop.
