Three festival premieres will be presented as part of the Autor:innentheatertage 2023.

From April 30 to May 11, the Autor:innentheatertage 2023 will present three festival premieres, a course of young plays and the most important German-language premieres of the season as guest performances in Berlin.
New this year: three new theater texts will be premiered one after the other on the DT stage directly at the start of the festival on Sunday, April 30, on a single evening. In addition, the three world premieres are all productions of the Deutsches Theater, and the texts this year are commissioned by the DT from authors who have long accompanied the festival.
The Long Night of the Authors begins with a new text by Caren Jeß: Dem Marder die Taube (The Pigeon to the Marten) is a play that leads into the in-between worlds of an unusual friendship between two women. Directed by Stephan Kimmig, the play features:

The second world premiere of the evening will be Gaia at the Deutsches Theater (GÖ) by Nele Stuhler, directed by Sarah Kurze. The first two parts of Nele Stuhler's Gaia trilogy have already been seen at the Deutsches Theater in recent years. For the Autor:innentheatertage 2023, the trilogy now comes to a conclusion. Verführung is the name of Lukas Bärfuss' new play, which will be presented as the third world premiere this evening. Directed by András Dömötör, Ulrich Matthes, Birgit Unterweger and Julia Windischbauer get to the bottom of the erotic and political dimensions of imposture. Because we like to be seduced. But not by everyone and certainly not to everything.
