Between ghosting, dating frustrations, and statistics on single people: Why is love life in the capital so complicated? In "HATE TO DATE – On Struggles and How to Get Through Them," we talk candidly about the biggest dating struggles—and how to ov...

Berlin is essentially Germany’s “singles capital.” More than half of all Berlin households are single-person households (56%). Even though living alone doesn’t necessarily say anything about one’s relationship status, the statistic captures the city’s vibe.

Many singles who want a committed relationship are tired of casual dates, ghosting, or situational relationships. Politically, too, there are growing differences, especially among heteronormative couples: young men tend to vote for the AfD and CDU, while young women lean toward the Left Party and the Greens. How does this affect dating life? Why are so many people pulling back right now?

As part of Summer at the THF, they’re bringing the podcast “HATE TO DATE – on struggles and how we get out of them” live to the rooftop terrace of the THF TOWER.

Host Shanli Anwar (DLF Nova) will be discussing these topics live on the rooftop terrace of the THF TOWER with fascinating guests: content creator Bella Langner, cultural studies scholar Nike Wessel, and psychologist Marcel Moses.

Grab a cold drink, enjoy the view, and join us in analyzing the dating chaos of the capital.
