Natural history discoveries and practical tips
Cemeteries are green places of burial, remembrance and commemoration. They are also important urban habitats for animals and plants and are perceived and used by city dwellers as green oases of peace and recreation. The tour focuses on these different functions and qualities of the cemetery.
The model project "Friedhofspark" (Cemetery Park) at the Old Luisenstädt Cemetery, funded by the Berlin Program for Sustainable Development (BENE), will be presented.
