The association querstadtein e.V. offers a new city tour in Berlin-Kreuzberg: "Kreuzberg 36: Stories of Utopia, Protest and Culture". This tour is led by Ragıp, a committed Berliner with a Turkish migrant perspective, and allows participants to discover Kottbusser Tor and the surrounding area.

The tour conveys historical facts and delves into the history of migration and Ragıp's personal experiences. It highlights the importance of Kreuzberg as a center of Turkish migration and as a scene for social movements, cultural exchange and political activism. Topics such as nation-building, urbanization, grassroots initiatives, culinary traditions and the diversity of migrant business life are linked together in a lively way.

The interactive nature of this tour is particularly interesting. Participants are invited to actively participate, contribute their own perspectives and thus gain a deeper insight into the topics. The combination of historical facts and personal experiences makes each stop a lively experience and promotes an understanding of the diversity and cohesion in a multicultural city like Berlin.

The tour is aimed at people aged 16 and over and is an enriching experience for both Berliners and tourists. It is offered regularly and can be booked by both individuals and groups. Individual tickets are already available online for the upcoming dates on September 28 and October 19, 2024 at 2 p.m.

This tour offers a valuable opportunity to think outside the box and learn about the diverse stories of Berlin's residents.

The tour is in English.
