Tigran Mikaelyan, born in Yerevan in 1969, studied at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory with Prof. A. Fischer. Already during his studies he gave solo and duo concerts. In 1995 he came to Germany, where he is currently a violinist with the KlassikPhilharmonie Hamburg. Since December 2002, Mikaelyan has been teaching violin at the Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Hamburg.
