At the 2-day Kamishibai reading festival, stories are told, invented and painted. The Hansa Library turns into a stage and you become part of a production. The transition is fluid: sometimes you are a spectator and then suddenly you are right in the middle of the story and it takes a completely different turn – you decide where the journey is going.

There are two full days of theater clowning, interactive readings, a storytelling trick workshop and you can even meet a real Kamishibai author and ask all your questions.

While the younger ones are on story journeys, the grown-ups must not be bored. You can expect an exhibition and a book table with specialist literature about storytelling with the Kamishibai - particularly suitable for reading sponsors, educators, teachers.
