The Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin was founded in 2015 by students from various disciplines and young professionals from Berlin. Since 2016 it has officially been the ensemble of the Young Friends of the Berlin Philharmonic.

The Junge Kammerphilharmonie gives concerts every six months in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic. Important decisions, including the choice of program and conductor, are made democratically by the entire orchestra.
