Mozart: Clarinet Quintet and Works by Haydn & Debussy
In a concert series spanning two seasons, clarinetist and composer Jörg Widmann explores the history of the clarinet quintet from its beginnings to contemporary works.
Joining him on this musical journey of discovery are several acclaimed string quartets—first among them the Hagen Quartett, which performs Mozart’s A-major Quintet of 1789 together with Widmann. The legendary Austrian ensemble will also be heard in works by Haydn and Debussy.
