Opening Act: floppy disk

Jon Kenzie is an artist born in Manchester who now lives in Hamburg—a city he has called his German home for many years.

He’s known for winning over his audience in no time at all, wherever he performs. He’s built a loyal fan base not least through busking, gigs at legendary clubs, and as the opening act for renowned acts such as The Dead South, Jack Savoretti, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.

With groovy guitar riffs and his raw, soulful voice, Jon inevitably captivates his audience. His sound combines a deep groove with emotional honesty—music that unfolds gently at first and then hits with full force.

His songs strike the perfect balance between stripped-down intimacy and raw, driving energy. They leave a lasting impression on all those who are moved by authentic groove and honest emotions.

Jon has already released three independent albums, impressively demonstrating his stylistic range spanning blues, folk, and soul. Rooted in the spirit of legends like Muddy Waters, Al Green, and Bob Dylan, he translates this timeless influence into a modern sonic language—inspired by artists such as Alabama Shakes, The Teskey Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., and Leon Bridges.

His upcoming album marks a new high point: his most cohesive work to date—a bold fusion of various genres that defines a distinctive, entirely unique sound.
