As Part of the Cultural Summer
In cooperation with the Yiddish Summer Weimar festival, the Jewish Museum Berlin celebrates the Berlin premiere of the Lerner Moguilevsky Duo from Argentina: César Lerner and Marcelo Moguilevsky have been rooted in the klezmer music tradition in Buenos Aires for 40 years.
As grandchildren of Eastern European Jewish grandparents who emigrated to Argentina in the early 20th century, they revolutionized klezmer with elements of Argentinian music, jazz, contemporary music, and tango, making an international name for themselves as pioneers of New Jewish Music.
In cooperation with Yiddish Summer Weimar.
