Book Making Workshops Demi Anter
Learn how to make beautiful handmade artist's books in time for Valentine's Day!
Participants will be guided step by step through the creation of their own handmade books with two structures (accordion and matchbox).
Course instructor Demi Anter will guide participants through the construction process and provide additional exercises and tips to inspire them for the content. Your finished books are perfect as Valentine's Day gifts or as keepsakes for yourself.
Materials will be provided, but participants are asked to bring additional creative materials they would like to incorporate, such as photos, postcards, markers, fabrics and more, to make their books even more personal. No previous bookbinding experience is necessary.
The workshop is open to anyone interested, regardless of their skill level or experience. Each participant will take home at least one handmade book.
Refreshments are included.

About the course instructor:
Demi Anter is an award-winning artist and presenter. She regularly leads workshops at institutions across the US, Europe and the UK, including the National Theatre (UK), London Irish Cultural Centre, Women Writing Berlin Lab, WORD! Leicester, UC Santa Barbara and many more. Her books are held in the collections of UCSB Special Collections and the National Poetry Library (UK).
