People process trauma in different ways – the main character in "Petit
Spartacus" processes hers with the help of a trip. Between cycling in
the Eastern bloc and swigging cherry brandy, an unusual relationship
takes shape between the protagonist and her travelling companion: a
Greek-speaking bicycle.

Navigating along the Danube, this
fictional-documentary work from Sara Ganem calls on the sense of
personal freedom and wilderness inside each of us.
Following the
screening, there will be time to go deep: in conversation with the
filmmaker, attendees can ask questions about editing, creation and
inspiration, production and the odyssey itself, to get a first-hand feel
for Ganem's personal process. Have you also found yourselves in the
scope of a solo journey? What sort of traumatic experience were you
perhaps running away from?
- Admission to the event is free of charge.
- A registration via our ticket portal is still necessary.
