Charles Verni and Steven Warwick present their new work "cantante" as part of their Hillside project. Fans of the project can expect new sounds.

Hillside can be understood as an experiment that creates space for a casual and experimental form of music event and its content. It is designed as a location-independent concept that is realized in different formats and contexts.

Charles Verni lives and works in London. In his work he experiments with humor and different genres to reinterpret popular songs, digital audio and the voice. His current album I'm Crazy was released digitally and on CD on the Plot Toy label. His other projects include I Was Today Years Old and the radio play Not That Deep. He recently performed live at the Hyperlocal festival in Buenos Aires and Clout Farm in London. On the radio he has been represented with mixes and original audio productions for NTS and BBC Radio 4 Extra, among others.

Berlin-based artist, musician and writer Steven Warwick works in an interdisciplinary manner, combining art, music, writing, theatre and DJing. His works combine performance, image, sound and language, challenging the expectations and conventions associated with formats such as performances and public exhibitions. As a musician, both under his own name and formerly under the pseudonym Heatsick, he develops and performs hybrid live DJ sets. His releases have appeared on the club/experiment label PAN, among others.

Warwick has performed at prestigious venues such as Berghain (Berlin), London Contemporary Music Festival, Trouw (Amsterdam), Kunsthall (Bergen), LAMPO/Stony Island Arts Bank (Chicago) and Issue Project Room (New York). He has also been part of the Mutek and Unsound festivals.
