Solo Debut: Piano Works by Weinberg, Bach/Busoni, Chopin
Two seasons ago, Georgijs Osokins was first heard at the Pierre Boulez Saal together with his mentor Gidon Kremer. Now the young Latvian pianist makes his solo debut with a highly diverse program, ranging from Scarlatti and the monumental Bach-Busoni Chaconne to Rachmaninoff song arrangements, works by Mieczysław Weinberg and contemporary Latvian com poser Pēteris Vasks, to Chopin’s virtuoso Etudes.
