Fluss Bad Berlin is an urban development project for a future-oriented and communal use of the inner-city Spree Canal in Berlin Mitte. The project stretches along the approx. 1.9km long canal and includes a near-natural watercourse, a filter area and a good 800m long swimming area, where flight of steps will provide access to the water and invite people to swim and linger. As part of the federal program "National Projects of Urban Development", Flussbad Berlin e.V. has been funded by the federal and state governments since 2014. In 2019, the Senate officially designated the area as an "urban redevelopment area".
