When the day draws to a close and the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon, most people and animals seek shelter in their homes.

However, darkness holds many secrets and the tropical rainforest also has some inhabitants who only become really active at night.

What actually happens in the jungle as soon as the sunlight disappears and night falls over the tropics?

The Potsdam Biosphere sheds light on this question and opens the tropical adventure world to brave guests in the evening hours as well. Last admission 8:00 p.m. The tropical hall closes at 9:30 p.m.

The Café Tropencamp is open on days between 7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

The souvenir shop opens between 7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

During the nighttime excursion to the Potsdam tropical world, all guests, big and small, can explore the jungle independently with their own flashlights or headlamps and observe both nocturnal and diurnal animals.

On site, the lamps are given a red filter to protect the animals. You are welcome to bring your own lamps with red light. At various stations in the tropical garden, guides explain exciting things about butterflies and insects, you can see the world through night vision goggles and discover fluorescent objects with black light.
