Using specific best-practice examples, the series demonstrates how cross-disciplinary collaboration between the performing arts, visual arts, and film/video art creates new avenues of engagement. It presents proven strategies for audience expansion and sustainable community building—with a particular focus on international approaches from Europe as well as local experiences.
The talks take place as part of the exhibition “Produktive Region. Part 2.”
Curated by Eva Hertzsch, Adam Page, and Andrea Plöger (ASH), it presents a conceptual model for a solidarity-based local economy.

Prof. T. Melih Görgün is an artist, curator, and founder of Sinopale—the International Sinop Biennial, which is considered one of the world’s most significant examples of participatory biennial formats. In his lecture, he explores how collaborative artistic production models can function beyond established structures. Drawing on his many years of experience in Istanbul, Sinop, and Berlin, he asks: How can participatory and interdisciplinary curatorial practices succeed in reaching new audiences—and what can we learn from international approaches?
