The participating artists approach the good spirits in different ways:
Conny Brauer works with typographic compositions. Rebekka Boerner draws on the Japanese tradition that honors the spirit of things. Elke Burkert sends little spirits through the rooms. Friedrich Goizel is certain he has heard fleeting voices. In the garden, Ping Qui’s hands move like shadowy figures. In Marina Pohl’s paintings, ever-changing intermediate worlds unfold. In her wax works, Kazuyo Buuchi explores fragile, shifting states. Karin Rummel immortalizes striking figures on ghost trains.
You can get involved in the accompanying program: In workshops for children and adults, drawings vanish as if by magic; we experiment with a 3D printer and create our own cinematic interpretations of benevolent spirits from various cultural contexts. A reading evening with actor Julius F. Brauer, the Kling Klang neighborhood choir, and finally a closing event with a bonfire round out the program.
All dates can be found in the event calendar. Welcome!
