Kinemathek – Art House Theater

In her late thirties, filmmaker Ina Borrmann meets the right partner. Although she has long rejected the “conventional idea of the nuclear family,” she begins to feel a growing desire to have a child.

It soon becomes clear that they cannot conceive without artificial insemination. This experience gives rise to an authentic and humorous film. It depicts the physical and emotional struggles of a couple struggling to conceive and poses a broader question: What defines a family—with or without a child?
