Special tour with park district manager of the Pfaueninsel, Jan Uhlig, SPSG

On August 3, 1825, the fountain on Peacock Island went into operation. Almost exactly 200 years later, park manager Jan Uhlig explains the complex and varied history of the water supply on Peacock Island. You will learn how important water is for maintaining the park, especially in times of increasing drought, and what challenges and opportunities exist.

The tour will also introduce current water renaturation measures on the island, which are important for the beauty of the island and as a habitat for many animals and insects.
