Lecture series of the Association for the Promotion of the Egyptian Museum

In the Middle Kingdom (2000 - 1700 BC), the scenes on the tomb walls were replaced by models showing a variety of food preparations and offerings in order to enable the deceased to live a well-equipped life in the afterlife. This group of offering bearers is a special example of this type of object; it shows interesting details, but also raises some questions regarding the overall design and the representation of individual figures. Speaker: Dr. Olivia ZornThe lecture takes place directly at the property.
