Two-day summer workshop: Thursday through Friday / 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. / July 16–17, 2026
Have you ever heard of Isfahan? This city in Iran is famous for its turquoise domes, magnificent gardens, and ornate carpets.
They need your ideas for the new exhibition at the Pergamon Museum! One highlight will be the Garden Hall—featuring carpets, musical instruments, and painted ceramics.
Where is your garden? Who’s in it? What grows there? And if your garden were a carpet—what would it look like?
In this workshop, the children will travel to Isfahan and create their own dream gardens through weaving, knotting, drawing, and collage. Together, we’ll create pictures, stories, and ideas for a booklet that other children can read later in the exhibition.
- No prior experience is required.
- Offer: Workshop (multi-day) / Children ages 9–12 in German, English, and Farsi
- Location: Archaeological Center, Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 6, 10117 Berlin, Brugsch-Pascha Hall
