What if an unhealthy life was a crime? What if people could no longer decide how they want to treat our bodies? Mia Holl is actually an exemplary citizen and follows the state-mandated METHOD: She submits her health data regularly, is committed to reason as a natural scientist and always tries to steer her freedom-loving brother on the right path. But when he dies, Mia loses her footing.
What begins as a clarifying conversation with the authorities turns more and more into a witch hunt - and Mia becomes an ardent resistance fighter. She denounces that a system that only cares about life is no longer worth living in.
Robert Lehniger stages the novel as a multimedia journey. The experience for the students begins even before the performance: using an interactive material folder, they immerse themselves in the world of Corpus Delicti and playfully learn what makes Juli Zeh's dystopia so frighteningly current.
In the production, they are drawn into Mia Holl's case and encounter the characters from the material folder again, analogously in the classroom and via video screen. In the follow-up discussion all discuss together: How much reason and security is good for a society?
Theater + school
From December 2023, this production will be played as a revival in the box. If you would like to attend the performance with your class, please contact service@deutschestheater.de to book tickets, stating the school and the number of tickets you would like.
There is space for a maximum of two school classes in the box per performance, so the contingent is very limited and the dates offered will be fully booked quickly due to the great interest.
Please understand that despite the great demand, only a limited number of performances can be included in the general schedule from December.
Ticket price: €6 per student. If individuals cannot afford the price, the DT Friends support the visit.
