The poet Lautréamont describes the process of collage as "... the accidental meeting of a sewing machine and an umbrella on a dissecting table".
The artists of Surrealism used collage to combine set pieces of dream and reality into a new reality. Starting from a 19th century screen, the various collage forms in paper or wood, integrated into painting or completely without a brush, will be the subject of contemplation.
