with artist Stefanie von Schroeter
During a guided tour of the exhibition “More than Beauty,” we’ll draw inspiration from the artworks and then create our own pieces centered on body imagery.
Following in the tradition of artist Hannah Höch, participants will create new beings by collaging body fragments found in fashion, gardening, and art magazines. These creations are not meant to conform to social conventions but to spring from the participants’ own imaginations. Anything goes and everything is encouraged—cephalopods, hybrid creatures combining humans, animals, and sculptures, or a being with 1,000 mouths.
Anyone who wishes can playfully decorate their work with paint and a brush—true to the motto: Body, Cult, Collage.
- The workshop is held in the YOUNG format as part of the Action Week organized by the Municipal Galleries of Berlin.
- Accompanying program for the exhibition “More than Beauty”
