Throughout September, events and activities take place in all of Berlin's districts, focusing on democratic values and community spirit – from neighborhood initiatives and pop-up exhibitions to festivals and workshops.
All over Berlin, people are creating, listening, asking questions, and participating
The centerpiece is the large participatory festival on September 13 (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in front of the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek (American Memorial Library). Berlin initiatives, associations, and civil society organizations invite everyone to an open day of action with information booths, hands-on activities, and creative and sporting events for children and young people. A varied stage program with music and cultural performances rounds out the day.
