The iconic architecture of the airport was designed by Meinhard von Gerkan, Volkwin Marg and Klaus Nickels (gmp) and built from 1969 to 1975. The walk leads along the building ensemble and opens up a fascinating panorama of the airfield. The historical and architectural significance of the monument is comprehensively presented in dialogue with the planned subsequent use as an innovation location.
