The Hotels in an overview

The 15-minute city is an innovative new concept from the world of urban planning. Short and sweet: it’s about completely reinventing the way we live in our cities. Where cities once centred around a single downtown area where residents travelled to work, meet and shop, the city of the future will be a place where people can get everything they need within just 15 minutes of where they live. Every neighbourhood is its own little city.

Holidays in Berlin's neighbourhoods - 15 minutes to the local highlights

Berlin has always been a city of many centres. The sprawling metropolitan area as we know it today originally grew out of the twin cities of Berlin and Cölln. They gradually absorbed towns from all around, ranging 30 km from Köpenick in the east to Spandau in the west. In more recent history, the legacy of divided Berlin in the 20th century gives the city two modern city centres, centring around Friedrichstraße in the east and Breitscheidplatz in the west. This means a variety of unique neighbourhoods is part of Berlin’s DNA.
