Jazz at Alter Schwede

Fancy some progressive jazz, or jazz metal without guitars? The composer and pianist Ido Spak, who now calls Lüneburg home, was born in Israel in 1979 and has been performing on stages around the world since his early youth.

He is a classically trained jazz pianist who studied piano, conducting and composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, later in England, and lived for a time in London and Berlin. So he’s been around a fair bit, this ‘jazz traveller’.

His seventh album, *Apocalypse Next Tuesday*, is inspired by the warm sun of the Orient, but also brings together new influences from progressive rock, metal and New York jazz, all in one package.

At the same time, he’s presenting new music from his eighth album, *Idomania*, which has not yet been recorded.

Let yourselves be whisked away into a magical world, full of exciting and sophisticated sounds, and join him on the journey of a lifetime at a time when anything is possible once more.
