Opening Concert of the 39th Berlin Jewish Cultural Days

Following her acclaimed debut at the 37th Berlin Jewish Culture Days, Marina Maximilian returns to the Rykestraße Synagogue to present a new programme at the opening on 12 November, put together exclusively for the festival.

The singer, pianist, composer and actress was born in Dnipro (Ukraine) in 1987 and moved to Israel as a child. She reached a wide audience through her appearance on the talent show ‘Kokhav Nolad’ (2007). Since then, she has developed a distinctive artistic style: with her striking, versatile voice, she blends pop, soul, jazz and electronic sounds to create a sound that is as personal as it is contemporary.

Alongside this, Marina Maximilian enjoys a successful career as an actress in film, television and theatre. On stage, she captivates audiences with her commanding presence and the rare ability to blend intimacy with expressiveness. Her concerts are as emotional as they are energetic – characterised by musical virtuosity and narrative depth.
