To mark the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism, the themed tour asks which images and narratives the Nazi regime used to construct and idealize a "German nature".

How were ideas of nature politicized as part of an order shaped by violence and what concrete measures were used to implement these ideas? The tour reconstructs central elements of Nazi nature ideology and at the same time embeds them in the context of German history.

Using selected case studies such as the propaganda poster for the construction of the Reichsautobahn, depictions of the "German nation" or the reception of Darwin's theory in the German national context, continuities and changes in nature-related patterns of interpretation are addressed and made visible.
