Theater im Keller has been offering drag shows since 1987, with its small ensemble entertaining audiences in its own unique style.
Berlin's local theatres and cabarets have their very own charm. The "TiK Berlin", short for "Theater im Keller", is one of the hidden places for great show art. Since 1987, it has been a tranquil neighbourhood theatre with a clear preference for travesty performances and shrill entertainment art.
Although it is no longer located in the basement but in a former shop, it is impossible to imagine the TiK without it. The theatre has made a name for itself far beyond the city limits and presents unusual shows and self-produced dance and music performances three days a week.
Humour and provocation
A twinkle in the eye and the fun of artistic provocation are important companions. Visitors in the front row should expect to be asked to join in - and will be surprised at how much they can smile at themselves.
The theatre was founded by actor Michael Brennecke, who is affectionately known as "Mother" and leads the ensemble. He and his team of passionate artists know how to entertain the audience in a humorous and impressive way.
Culinary "backdrop" in the foyer
The personal atmosphere of the theatre is supported in culinary terms by the small "backdrop" gastrobar in the foyer. Guests can enjoy relaxed drinks, tapas and small Spanish food creations here. Table reservations are also accepted for theatre performances.

The theatre is barrier-free and at ground level. Seats with extra space can be reserved on request.
