In order to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector, a great many people will have to switch from their own cars to climate-friendly public transport. CO2 emissions can be reduced through better offers, higher performance, more comfort and climate-friendly technologies for trains. Particularly with the i2030 rail expansion project, Berlin and Brandenburg as well as Deutsche Bahn and VBB want to accelerate the transport turnaround in the capital region.
