An interactive, multi-sensory live radio play for children, teenagers and adults.

“Invisible” transforms Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story “The Little Prince” into a captivating live radio play and a multisensory experience for children and adults. Narration, dialogue and songs alternate in a musical theatre-style performance.

Furthermore, the senses of touch, smell and sound are woven into the narrative. The audience enter a dark room lit only by twinkling stars on the ceiling. They are then blindfolded and experience the key moments of the story through sounds, singing, nuanced textures and scents, all of which correspond to the unfolding events.

This adaptation highlights the profound capacity of our senses to unlock new dimensions of perception and brings to life the story’s insight that the most important things are invisible to the eye.

Stylistic devices and methods:

This live radio play draws on elements of narrative and musical theatre. The narrative is further enriched by live sound effects (in the style of Foley art), carefully placed scent elements and tactile stimuli.

These techniques shape emotional and narrative transitions and allow the audience to physically experience the characters’ inner worlds. In this way, the piece expands the traditional possibilities of radio drama to include an immersive, multi-sensory narrative layer.
