Jewish Literary Rondeel
The philosopher Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) and the historian of religion Gershom Scholem (1897-1982) were close friends. They embody paradigmatic life concepts between Berlin and Jerusalem: the questions of localisation, of home and where Jews are "allowed" to live.
Thomas Sparr, co-editor of Gershom Scholem's letters, Erdmut Wizisla, director of the Walter Benjamin Archive, and Anja Siegemund, director of the Centrum Judaicum, will talk about this in the series "Jüdisch-Literarisches Rondeel".
