Five authors from the current issue of "am Erker" present their texts. The issue's theme searched for groups, collectives, pairings and ego dissolutions, for scenarios of commonalities and feelings in the hustle and bustle. Who are we? Where do we come from, where are we going? Does something connect us?

Miguel Peromingo reports on literary associations and ironically explains why they have produced so little artistically. Katharina Körting looks at the generation of forty-year-olds: "Some of us drop dead in the middle of a run." Joachim Hildebrandt presents poems in which the self becomes a barely definable place.

In Silke Andrea Schuemmer's poetry, people find themselves in mysterious communities with machines, weather phenomena and animals. And Eric T. Hansen tells of a rather unknown human service of the Mormon Church. Am Erker, founded in 1977, is one of the oldest existing German-language literary magazines.

Editor Marcus Jensen will introduce and moderate the event.
