The Ukrainian artist-curator duo Anna Scherbyna and Uliana Bychenkova, who won this year's Dieter Ruckhaberle Förderpreis, see the Museum Reinickendorf as a curatorial Wunderkammer.

On three floors, it combines ethnological and archaeological, contemporary historical and artistic exhibits that tell a story of the district and the city. Together with six other artists, they use interventions to look at the concept of "home" on display here and the possibilities for a redefinition of this conceptualization. They expand the exhibition with site-specific sound and video installations, texts, and sculptures, adapting them to the needs of contemporary notions of belonging.

In the museum's GalerieETAGE, moreover, found objects from the museum's depot are confronted with the museum's own archives and narratives, thus attempting an alternative, imaginative historiography.Translated with DeepL
