Snowapple Collective, the international artist collective known for its innovative exploration of music and theatre, is pleased to announce its new album ‘Utopia’, which will be released on 13 June 2025.

Utopia’ is a milestone in the collective's development and offers the listener an intense, cross-genre experience. The music has already received praised internationally.

The thought of a new world frightens many people, and understandably so: sometimes it seems as if we are slowly heading for our doom. Snowapple, on the other hand, is trying not to lose hope and is looking for new ways to find meaning.

The collective wants to offer hopeful prospects for the future and connect people with each other.

‘Utopia’ is therefore a search for a connection to one's own body and to pure human feelings - how do we get back there?

In spring 2024, the music was recorded mainly with Owen Pratt at Studio Morcina in Italy. The songs focus on guitar and synthesiser sounds, with processed vocals and clarinet tones adding a flickering warmth to the otherwise menacing and steely coolness of the album. The music is influenced by musical icons such as Patti Smith, David Bowie, Laurie Anderson and Portishead.

The music of ‘Utopia’ has already been performed in the Netherlands, France, Mexico, Turkey and the United Kingdom and has won eight international awards, including ‘Best Music and Audio Creation’ at the EMS Barouf Les Lauriers du Théâtre Indépendant and ‘Best Music Video’ at the European Shorts Award for ‘I, Cyborg’.
