In the heart of old Berlin, the Knoblauchhaus Museum offers a contemplative Advent journey back in time to the Christmas season two hundred years ago.
The historic garlic house is transformed into a festively decorated Biedermeier Christmas house from Advent until the New Year. Nutcrackers, humming devils and Christmas pyramids await you in the historical ambience of one of the oldest preserved town houses in Berlin.
A brand new audio guide takes you along the faithfully reconstructed living rooms through the Christmas customs of the era between the end of the Napoleonic Wars and the Revolution of 1848. You will encounter both the surprising and the familiar.
You will be enchanted!
The Christmas House is open Tuesday to Sunday.
Admission is free.
