World Music from Berlin
The repertoire of the Trio Scho includes Russian songs and instrumental pieces from the "Golden Twenties" to the present day as well as their own songs, Russian swing and bossa nova. Scho? is a slang word from Odessa and means: "What shall be?" and for Trio Scho it means: "What do we do for music? Our music!
The Trio Scho was founded in 1992 in the Ukrainian city of Poltava. Since 1994, the musicians have mainly been performing on Berlin's stages and are enjoying ever greater success with their repertoire of Russian songs, swing, tango and bossa nova.
Their appearances on radio and television as well as at the Carnival of Cultures show how versatile the three musicians can be. In 2000 and 2011 the trio won the Berlin Senate Music Competition.
